It’s more and more looking like Xbox One is an elitist console, on top of just being a very restrictive one. If you aren’t one of the supported countries at launch, your Xbox One simply won’t work. You won’t be able to play any games on it. It’s as simple as that.
According to Joystiq, the console’s always-on game registration feature will only be available in the 21 targeted countries at launch. So if you’re here in South Africa, or say you live in Portugal, then your console will effectively be a Blu-ray and movies player, and nothing else.
